How it works

1. Spot it. Find an invasive Seemai Karuvelam tree on or near your campus.
2. Document before. Take a clear photo and note the GPS location.
3. Restore. After removal, plant a native species in its place.
4. Document after. Take an after photo and submit — points land instantly.
5. Earn points. 50 points the moment it's approved — plus bonus points if your native tree survives 6 and 12 months.
Please note: Removal of trees should only be carried out with permission from the landowner and in accordance with local regulations and safety practices. Do not attempt removal of large trees on your own — involve your institution's grounds staff or a qualified team.
